The 90's

In the 90's, Ajax Rotary's fifth decade of "SERVICE ABOVE SELF", larger and larger financial commitments were made to many local, regional and international causes.
 
1991:
$4,000 is donated to Operation Eyesight Universal, to help restore eyesight to 160 villagers in India.
 
1995:
Ajax Rotary donated $10,000 to the United Way of Ajax-Pickering.
The Club donated $21,000 to the Sunrise Recreational Youth Group in Oshawa, to sponsor five youths to attend summer residential camp.
Ajax Rotary donated a $37,000 for community signage at the corner of Highway 2 & Westney Road
 
1996:
The Club pledged $300,000 over 6 years to the Ajax-Pickering Hospital for the purchase of a computerized Video Endoscopy System.
The Club donated $3,000 to the Ajax-Pickering Hospital to support an electronic library for Diabetes education.
 
1997:
The Club of Ajax received the "Excellence on the Waterfront Award" in partnership with the Waterfront Regeneration Trust.
