Ajax Rotary Crocuses In Bloom!

People walking, cycling and driving along Harwood Avenue across from the Ajax Plaza recently may have noticed a splash of spring colour along the boulevard in the form of beautiful purple crocuses. In October 2018, members of the Rotary Club of Ajax, with the supervision of staff from the Town Of Ajax, planted 4500 purple crocus bulbs under three trees

on the boulevard. Due to that effort the community is now being rewarded with

The project, PP4P or Project Purple For Polio was spearheaded by Ajax Rotarian Tom Clarkson, seen below, kneeling,
to help raise awareness of Rotary’s involvement in eradicating the wild polio virus. We’re this close! Only Afghanistan and Pakistan remain plagued by the virus today.
